Meet Nurse Nana!
Nurse Nana is a Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner, educator, and creative force dedicated to making child health feel safe, empowering, and joyful for families everywhere.
Nurse Nana holds a Master of Science in Nursing from the #2 US News & World Report's Best Universities for Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioners, Vanderbilt University School of Nursing, & a Bachelor of Science in Child Development & Health and Human studies from Vanderbilt University.
She blends developmental science with evidence-based medicine to support children and caregivers through every stage of growth.
Her passion for pediatrics is deeply personal. Growing up alongside a younger brother with developmental disabilities, she witnessed firsthand the impact that compassionate, knowledgeable healthcare providers can have - not just on a child, but on an entire family. Inspired by those early experiences, and by her father’s over 20 years of service as a City of Chicago paramedic, she found that caring for others isn’t just a profession, it’s a calling.
Today, Nurse Nana works in underserved communities on the south side of Chicago, Illinois, providing comprehensive pediatric primary care while leading initiatives in early literacy, immunization advocacy, and clinical research.
She believes that prevention, education, and culturally responsive care are some of the most powerful tools we have to build healthier futures.
Through Nurse Nana’s World, she transforms medical knowledge into accessible, playful, and cozy resources that help families feel confident rather than confused about their child’s health. Her approach is rooted in warmth, science, and a deep respect for every child’s individuality.
Nurse Nana believes that caring for your family's health doesn’t have to be intimidating.
It can be kind. It can be joyful.
And it can feel just as cozy as home.
